Nursing Injuries: When you are in the hospital you will probably spend a lot more time
with the nurses than with the doctors. The nurse's role (among others)
is to observe you in the absence of the doctor, record important diagnostic
information, follow the doctor's proper orders and administer, properly
and appropriately,
ordered medications. The nurse also is required to
be an advocate for you with the doctors; when necessary, she should
intervene on your behalf with the doctor and utilize the hospital's
chain of command to get the patient proper and appropriate care.
When the nurse fails to do her duty and you or your loved one is injured,
both the nurse and the hospital are liable.
If you or your loved
ones have been harmed by a nurse's failure to appropriately monitor
your condition and/or a nurse's failure to carry out a physician's orders,
we are here to help you. We can obtain your medical records and those
of your loved ones. We can review your medical records and advise you
whether medical malpractice may have occurred. We can assist you in
finding health care providers to review the nursing care rendered to
you or your loved ones to determine whether medical negligence exists
and whether the medical negligence resulted in injuries.
In circumstances where medical negligence exists (and this negligence caused your significant
injuries or your loved one's significant injuries), we can assist you
in trying to obtain a favorable settlement and if the insurance company
will not settle your case, we can take it to court.
While nothing can
bring back your health or the health of your loved ones, we will fight
for you and attempt to obtain both justice and a recovery to assist
you in caring for your needs or those of your loved one. If you believe
that we may be able to assist you, please call us or e-mail us.
